Hi, I’m Cait! I’m a twenty-something from the USA who lives in way too many fictional worlds to count. I haven’t been able to leave my house in several years due to severe complications from Lyme disease, so I started this blog in May 2016 as a way to connect with the outside world.

I read a lot of fantasy and YA for a fast-paced, lighthearted break between dense medical texts. My “reviews” are basically fangirling thoughts to help others find something they might enjoy! You can find me on Goodreads, Tumblr, Instagram, and Twitter.

Some of my absolute all-time favorite books (in no particular order):

  • A Room With a View by E.M. Forster
  • The Lord of the Rings by J.R.R. Tolkien
  • Anne of Green Gables by L.M. Montgomery
  • The Grisha Trilogy by Leigh Bardugo
  • Little Women by Louisa May Alcott
  • The Harry Potter series by J.K. Rowling
  • War & Peace by Tolstoy
  • Ella Enchanted by Gail Carson Levine
  • The Throne of Glass series by Sarah J Maas
  • The Sevenwaters series by Juliet Marillier
  • The Madwoman Upstairs by Catherine Lowell

And it pains me to leave out so many amazing books, so some YA-ish books I usually recommend are:

  • the ACOTAR series by Sarah J Maas
  • The Lunar Chronicles by Marissa Meyer
  • The Seven Realms series by Cinda Williams Chima
  • Half a King by Joe Abercrombie
  • The Shatter Me series by Tahereh Mafi
  • Caraval by Stephanie Garber
  • Warbreaker by Brandon Sanderson
  • Six of Crows & Crooked Kingdom by Leigh Bardugo
  • The Raven Cycle by Maggie Stiefvater
  • The False Prince by Jennifer A. Nielsen
  • The Shades of Magic series by V.E. Schwab
  • Everless by Sarah Holland
  • The Redwall series by Brian Jacques
  • Warcross by Marie Lu
  • Illuminae by Amie Kaufman + Jay Kristoff
